Diamonds Are in the Details: Celebrating the Craft of Amanda Garrett
On June 5th, 2025 I visited Canadian Fashion Designer Amanda Garrett’s spectacular Diamonds Are in the Details – A Fashion Experience event. The event took place at the magnificent venue, Chateau Le Jardin in Vaughan, ON.

I could not stop admiring the beautiful installation with Amanda’s work and a mirror that served as a photo op! Also can we have a moment for this GORGEOUS venue space?! If you’re a bride or event host, Chateau Le Jardin should be on your venue list. This event was nothing short of enchanting and elegance. The atmosphere whispered sophistication with soft lights, gorgeous red roses by Rosarium, a gorgeous French inspired interior and beautiful decor.

The energy and enthusiasm of Amanda’s team was welcoming and I was swiftly taken to my designated seating where a sweet swag bag waited for me.
Amanda’s work speaks a language of its own. Her attention to detail is not just meticulous; it’s intimate. Her designs are inclusive and each couture piece is designed with care. I could see that her designs make you feel confident in your own skin. Each piece that she displayed on the runway radiated unique energy. I had the chance of snapping some beautiful photos while her gorgeous models walked the ramp.

From flowing silks to sculpted bodices, every garment carried a special story. A narrative of countless hours spent in designing the most unique couture piece. Amanda Garrett doesn’t just create fashion, she creates moments. She invites you to slow down and look closer because, truly, the diamonds are in the details.
To celebrate Amanda’s fashion experience, I created something deeply personal: a custom canvas painting inspired by her couture collection. Each brushstroke is a tribute to the textures, tones, and silhouettes I saw in her collection. My painting reflected the softness of her designs. I added little crystals and beads to enhance the texture of the painting. It’s my way of honoring the artist and her beautiful work. I was honored to see people stopping by my canvas installation and initiating dialogue around it. Art is an expression and the real joy is when you see people talking about it.

Amanda’s show reminded me that detail is not something you add at the end. It’s actually the heartbeat of design. It is the essence of it. For anyone lucky enough to attend, it was a reminder of how art and fashion so beautifully intertwine.
It was wonderful to see various Canadian collaborators participating in this event. I was thrilled to be a part of this experience. It also supported the Canadian Women’s Foundation through a silent auction.
This event was not possible without the countless sponsors, partners, vendors, and collaborators:
Christine Grace Photos, Rosarium, Curated Visions, Clear Wealth Group, CJs Wanderlust, Echo & Chamber, Elga View, Fashion X Magazine, Goltiki, Good Gloss Official, Glow by Izza, Japhia Beauty, R House Agency, Beauty by Paula, Scribbled Memories, Succulent Chocolates, Tiara Natural, Zivai, Sqinto, Snap Odyssey, Photos and Beyond, Eatable, OTR Meals, Milli Fox.
Along with all the collaborators, it would not have been possible without the gorgeous models who walked the ramp dawning Amanda’s gorgeous couture pieces.

If you are a bride and are looking to get tailored couture pieces, then go check out my lovely friend Amanda’s work on her website.
